Does Tradespace hold my funds or execute trades?
Does Tradespace hold my funds or execute trades?
No. Tradespace sits between you and your broker, monitoring and enforcing your risk rules in real time. All order execution happens directly through your broker account. Tradespace never holds funds and never has direct access to your capital.

How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time from your **Subscriptions **page. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — you won’t be charged again after cancellation, and you retain full access to your plan’s features through the remaining paid days.
Broker Connections
Can I connect multiple accounts from the same broker?
Can I connect multiple accounts from the same broker?
Yes. You can connect as many accounts as your plan allows, including multiple accounts from the same broker. For example, you can connect several Tradovate/NinjaTrader accounts or a mix and Rithmic accounts simultaneously and monitor them all from a single Tradespace Dashboard.
Does Tradespace store my broker password?
Does Tradespace store my broker password?
It depends on the broker. For Tradovate (NinjaTrader), Tradespace uses OAuth — your Tradovate password is never stored by Tradespace. For Rithmic and ProjectX, your credentials are encrypted and stored securely. Tradespace does not store passwords in plain text and follows industry-standard practices for credential security.
What happens if I disable a connection?
What happens if I disable a connection?
Disabling a connection pauses all Tradespace monitoring for the accounts associated with that connection. Risk rules will NOT be enforced while a connection is disabled. This means positions will not be automatically flattened on a violation and orders will not be pre-trade validated. Only disable a connection when you are not actively trading those accounts. You will be prevented from disabled or deleting an account if any active account in that connection has an active lockout or risk violation. You must wait until this lockout period has ended on all accounts before you will be able to disable. This prevents evading of the risk controls.
Risk Management
Can I change my risk settings while the market is open?
Can I change my risk settings while the market is open?
Yes, unless AutoLock or Controls Lock is active on your account. Both features are designed to prevent accidental or impulsive changes to your risk parameters during live trading sessions. We strongly recommend enabling AutoLock with a time window that covers your trading hours to protect your settings when it matters most.
What triggers a violation lockout?
What triggers a violation lockout?
Any configured risk rule breach will trigger an immediate response. Violations that cause a lockout include hitting your Daily Loss Limit, Per-Trade Loss Limit, Trailing Daily Loss Limit, or Daily Trade Limit. When a violation occurs, Tradespace immediately flattens all open positions, cancels all working orders, and locks the account for the configured lockout duration.
How long does a lockout last?
How long does a lockout last?
Lockout duration is fully configurable per account — you set the duration in your risk settings before a violation occurs. After the lockout period ends, the account is automatically re-enabled for trading. You cannot end a lockout early and for Cloud platform users, the system has been designed to make this impossible.
Trade Copier
Can I use different contract sizes on follower accounts?
Can I use different contract sizes on follower accounts?
Yes. Each follower account has an independent Contract Quantity setting within a copy group. Set the value to
disabled to match the leader’s contract size dynamically, or enter any positive number to use a fixed quantity or multiplier regardless of what the leader trades. This lets you scale positions up or down per follower based on account size or risk tolerance.Does the Trade Copier work across different brokers?
Does the Trade Copier work across different brokers?
Yes. Your leader and follower accounts can be at different supported brokers. For example, your leader account can be at Tradovate while your followers are Rithmic or ProjectX. Instrument conversion settings let you map equivalent contracts across brokers (e.g., ES on one broker to MES on another).
